All children’s emergency contact information needs to be updated
regularly. Keep parent phone records up to date and accurate. Have copies
in a place accessible outside the building.
Keep parents up to date on all fire safety measures and what children will
be expected to do during the drills and planning stages.
Keep All Fire Safety Standards Checked
Regular checks of the facility’s fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and fire
extinguishers is important. Inspections are mandatory and scheduled
according to state laws.
All staff on hand should be fully aware of how to use all the fire safety
equipment as well, and be prepared to operate as necessary.
